For those of you who love yard sales, I’m sure that you
passed the Savannah Mission Bible Training Center on Victory Drive and made a
quick u-turn when you saw the yard! I know I did. This morning, the Savannah
Mission’s yard was full of books, clothes, appliances, and so much more! The
proceeds of the yard sale benefit the residents by paying for household
necessities. Those who know me know that I am a bookworm, so I headed straight
to the book table and found a great hardback treasure.
The Savannah Mission is a part of Mission Teens Inc., a
non-profit and non-denominational organization dedicated to helping people with
life-controlling problems that are desperate to change. Mission Teens Inc.
provides residential assistance and a discipleship training program that, since
1969, has served over 10,000 people. The organization receives no government
funding but rather thrives on the donations of concerned citizens who share its
goals.

Although there are locations all over the United States,
founder Rev. James D. Bracken began the mission in Norma, New Jersey. After its
inception in 1969, it has grown by leaps and bounds, with the focus of helping
others by sharing God’s love remaining constant.
